There’s a concept called Document vs Create that was coined by Gary vaynerchuk.
Gary vaynerchuk is well known entrepreneur and social media practitioner. He creates content daily, where he documents his process.
Documenting is where you document your process. For instance you could document starting a new business, or starting your personal brand. You can blog, vlog or podcast your experiences.
Similar to him, I'm also documenting my process of summarizing personal development books, and hopefully earn money online. I'll be documenting my process here on Steemit as well as on YouTube.
I’m also starting a blog soon, where I'll post personal development book summaries, and hopefully finding ways to earn money online, from my content.
Documenting is one way of creating content. The second way to create content is to create it. For example, this process usually involves coming up with an idea, and then creating a script for videos.
Today was a productive day and I'm going to document exactly what I did.
Today was my third day on Rev.com, and I earned $8. I earned $7 on the first day, and I had buffering issues on the second day so I couldn't transcribe.
Rev.com has three levels of transcribers. The first level is Rookie. On average rookies earn around $30 a month, and they work on shorter audio files.
The second level is Revver. Today I got promoted to Revver. On average revvers get paid an average of $100 a month.
Your work is graded according to accuracy and formatting. Once you transcribe 60 minutes of audio, and you've achieved a grade of 4.5 or higher for accuracy and formatting, you will be promoted to revver.
The third level is Revver+. This is where you get paid an average of $450 a month. However you have to achieve a grade of 4.6 for accuracy and formatting in order to get promoted to this level.
