I would sell it all for cash and tell my wife I was going out of town on bizznes. Then after purchasing a copious amount of cocaine I would get a hotel suite at the Commerce casino and call hookers 3 at a time. Then poker. After that charity and stuff.

I won't say much, but I am sure that I will invest in a bot. So that the bot will be earning much. After investment in the bot, bot will be making more SBD and steem power. then i will start earning. the earned amount will be used for street children in nepal.

With 1 million SP you would literally have the power to change lives.
If I were to acquire 1 million SP through some sort of good fortune, I would do several things.
First off I would delegate at least 10%, probably not to one person but spread over several accounts. By spreading some love (SP) this shows a commitment to the long term growth of steem. Secondly I would use that SP to create a marketing campaign to bring new users to the platform. This is a really big idea that all of us need to actively pursuit, the more active members we can get on this platform, the more we all benefit long term. Real life campaigns in the city in which you live can bring copious amounts of new users to the platform.
Lastly, I would make sure that at least once a day I give one minnow a 100% upvote. At current steem value, that 100% up vote would be worth several hundred dollars. I remember when I first started on the platform and receiving my first big up vote from a whale. After receiving that up vote my mindset totally changed and a spark was ignited within me to succeed. So many minnows could use a spark like that. Even if it’s just one minnow a day, the ripple effect of giving one deserving minnow a big upvote daily would have a huge ripple effect and give a huge boost to the community and help to lower the turnover rate that is one of the biggest problems we currently face.

Im not gonna try to say something captivating in an attempt to win the contest. The simple truth is I'd invest in my education, study in a more equipped institution and also invest in crytocurrency. That's the truth.

I would pay for projects to promote steemit in real life. Perhaps using contests or simply financing any expenditure people encounter when doing this
I would make all sorts of contests, ranging from horror stories contests like the ones in “nosleep” on reddit, science fiction stories contests, perhaps anime ...
I would delegate SP to curators groups and projects like utopian and dtube
I would manually upvote people I think deserve to receive generous upvotes. So this would be very subjective
I would flag any damaging user who hurts communities and the platform
I would make an user called “Santa Claus”and give huge upvotes around Christmas to lesser known users if they make good posts, leaving a message saying something like “Santa Claus just arrived” or “here is your gift where are my cookies” or something funny like that haha
And that’s it. Well to be honest, I would probably upvote myself from time to time too 🤣😂😆😅
I would delegate it to see how much $$$ I would get in return, then use that money to do cash drops.
I'll delegate a portion of my steem power out for some cash which I'd use to change lives around me. I'm a student, you know how it gets with students some times brokenness, hunger and the rest of it. I'll use some of the cash to allieviate some of those struggles.
Secondly, I'll gift out free upvotes every now and then. Most times all a person needs to believe in steemit is a major upvote. I'll give that.
I would try to educate people about the food that they eat, and dump the funds into urban farming. Thanks for holding these.

My other idea is to create a country battle contest of any theme (food, actor,meme,singer,artist). Participator are steemians only it'd be fun to get to know whos the best per country. You can also create a dtube compilation of some kind.
For the minnow post finder - It would be fun to see whos the new member of the day and also make some kind of recap per day.
This way every post on the recap youll somehow reimburse your steem power with upvotes thus making them all self sufficient.

The government has built public schools, but most of the students attending the school have tattered uniforms.

i would trade it all for cash $ and invest in the lives of those children by providing good uniforms for them and good shoes and sandals for their schooling, because that school is my alma mater and i'd love to give back to my school.

I would reward every creative post with a massive upvote to reward their creativeness either through writings, arts, music, etc.
I would also target minnows that are just coming on board. Will upvote enticing and great introductory posts because i know how discouraging it could be when you are just starting out on this platform because truth be told, we all came for the money at first before we now got to love the community finally.
I love engaging in good discussions, i will engage my followers in it and reward them accordingly.
Lastly, i will upvote my posts too so i can cash out. From the cash out, i will focus on little children in my community that are unable to go to school. Pay their fees and it will reduce hawking and also help the standard of living of the parents. (Giving is not giving until we give to someone who might never be able to repay us).
NB: I will make Steemit spread like wildfire.

Well, if I had 1million Steem power, I'll curate and resteem original works that impact's positively or seems helpful or entertaining to the steemit community by minnows who have spent at least 3 weeks actively on steemit and have not got payout of more than 7 sbds in the last 15 days. This would not only promote and elevate as much minnows that benefit from this, but it would motivate new steemit members to publish good materials on their blogs and promote outstanding original works by minnows who would gradually progress to dolphins and whales. Though my curating would not be project or community limited, but I would curate a little bit more music and poetry oriented posts, because I am a music and poetry lover. Thanks
I think if I have 1 million steem power. I will use to support an unfamiliar community in steemit. why so? because I think a lot of friends in steemit whose writing is good but not yet known.

The first thing that popp up in my mind is that i would tell my closest friends and family about steem and to get them joining and them to help them with my steemit power to grow big and to not have to live the rest of their lives spending almost half a day on a job they hate and wasting their lives. To have a great time together, maybe travel the world etc. :)

If I have 1 million SP i'll be able to curate about $500 upvote on a post which is massive. First I'll have to draw out plans and I'll from time to time organize different challenges with rewards to boost the community and invest on bots that will assist me in doing that. From time to time I'll have to be checking for good quality posts that benefits the steemit community and give them upvotes.
Having such high steem power will mean I have been able to make lots of money and this will enable me set up a place for homeless people and the less priviledged to help them acquire skills, teach them about steemit and also shelter them if possible but I know the trainings will put them in a better position to face the challenges of the society.
Basically all works would be on improving the steemit community and if I have such steem power let's say at the moment the first step will be to improve and trend sports on steemit which is an area that I have observed this community to be lacking in at the moment . Definitely other projects to reward hardwork and talents will come up such as music contests. For instance organizing a steemit Idol competition with Judges and tutors available to groom the talents and giving SBDs or steem as prices will go a long way in improving the steemit community.
Hi @dontstopmenow. 1million sp. I must confess, I hadn't dreamt that far till I saw this contest. I came to Steemit because I had heard about the earnings but I ended up staying for the community. If I had 1million sp, i would
Delegate 100000sp to a few people I can trust. We would develop a plan to encourage steembies. I know personally that the journey to the top is not easy but I believe everyone needs a little encouragement. By organizing contests that promote creativity for steembies all over the world, and randomly upvoting good content of minnows, I believe, I can be able to impact greatly on Steemit. For me, it's all about the community we are trying to build.
I m not that quite sure because I will never have that much, never been so lucky but If i ever, ever get that much, I would invest on bots, May be i will open a contest, free upvotes kind off, maybe delegate a portion of my SP.

I would designate a big chunk for delegation and support of important community projects like promo-steem, MSP, steemSTEM, steemiteduction, curie, ocd and so on. I'll think hard if it should be delegated directly or somehow operated as additional external voting support. There will surely be delegations to make sure the projects also get some curation earnings.
I will also probably try to setup a curation project of my own and I will put a lot of effort into promoting steem.
I will keep something like 10% into my own account to guarantee myself enough earnings to be able to concentrate on the steem blockchain.
I will hire a developer to help me start developing useful little tools for the blockchain and a witness node.
If the future of steemit was save I'd take out some to buy a flat or house and then keep growing while supporting trustable friends and steemers with projects.
We already have a couple cool ideas, some small and some that could grow into something gigantic on steemit but we need coders and money so let's make money first ;)
What I would do is to make curation a full-time thing. With that amount of SP I could have lived of the curation rewards even if I voted for stuff besides what we currently find in the trending pages. In addition I could delegate different amounts to any project I found interesting, with a focus on those who help minnows.

If I have 1 Million Steem Power, I will power up to invest more in the platform and help more people in it and withdraw some for my kidney transplant. Other than helping in the Steemit platform, I will also help causes, most importantly the UCSF's Bioartificial Kidney Project that is trying to come up with a bionic kidney so that we won't need real kidneys to be donated anymore, a better treatment for kidney failure, better than dialysis and kidney transplant (with organ donation). I will choose a charity to help for every Million that I make once the investment rolls well.
