Definitely a huge difference! One is doing justice, the other one is the failure of doing justice (that is if we are defining both terms the same way).

I think you would be interested in Sikhism and self defense. Self defense is a huge part of Sikhism. They carry around swords as a statement of their intention to defend whenever necessary, I've learned quite a bit about it in learning Kundalini Yoga.
