Walking Street Fields Avenue with the view of Beautiful Girls. The semi famous red light district going back to the times of Clark Air Force Base.
We had never been to Angeles City before. We've seen several YouTube videos and decided to go check it out before we go to Boracay.
Angeles City is pretty normal and nice like many other cities in the Philippines. However, Fields Avenue/Walking Street is a semi famous red light district going back to the times of Clark Air Force Base.
Walking on the street during day time is a bit different than at night. However there are still bars that are opened during the day. Mostly restaurants are opened for breakfast and most restaurant served Brewed Coffee not Instant.
The famous McDonalds is at the entrance Fields Avenue. We would go there sometimes when we are craving an Egg McMuffin in the morning. So seeing Walking Street in the morning, afternoon, and evening you start to get use to it. It starts to seem normal.
The walking street surrounded by hotels, restaurants, bars, disco bars, mini stores and others. This is the place where we usually walked after eating, less pollution from the vehicles.
When the sun goes down it starts to get more crowded. We usually go to dinner early but still try to come out later in the evening just to see the sights. Many girls and guys walking together.
There are groups of girls carrying massage business cards. Someone got a collection of the cards from every time he walks alone :o . That is maybe a good idea to give away my YouTube and Steemit business cards :). There are a few disco bars that are hiring for Mamasan with girls hahaha.
We stayed in a hotel about 2 min off walking street. Score Birds Hotel is one of the best hotel we have stayed at for the price. I'm going to post about Score Birds in my next post. Score Birds Hotel has a great pool and very fast internet so we spend more of our time there then enjoying the nightlife. The bikini contest at Score Birds Hotel will be on my next post. It is a very interesting place to people watch. While the nightlife is interesting to watch we did end up finding ourselves spending a lot more time at the hotel pool.
The next week our new hotel was directly on walking street. So every night after dinner we would walk the street and watch the local nightlife. Our next hotel was the Royal Hotel Amsterdam it is located in the middle of walking street. They have restaurant that was pretty good. We usually have dinner here while sitting at the counter with a view of the street and watching the people walking. Some interesting people walking :)
After visiting this area I realized this is the place that I really don't like to visit. However, if you are on a smaller budget you can get some very good hotels for your money. Clark also has an International Airport that we are going to take going to Boracay.
