▶️ One of my Coolest Videos now on DTube: The Major System Memory Technique Explained (Classic Version)

in #dtube7 years ago (edited)

Although this video is already four years old I am still very proud about it. I used Adobe Spark to create it and it came out really well. It is a bit long because I added the entire Major System from 00-99 to the end but you can skip that part if you don't want to learn the system right away or at all.

The Major System

If you are following me you have heard this name all over the place. This is because it is such an effective memory technique that I have used it in a lot of different ways. The explanation you hear in the video is following the classic version. Since then I have developed an updated version with my friend Johannes Mallow. We use exact the same principle and even the same phonetic groups of letters but rearranged them to find more visual matches. That makes it easier to learn. However, the classic version works just fine as well. I have learned it like this and still use because my brain has created very strong neuronal pathways for it over the years.

Please ignore the call to Patreon at the end. You can support me on Steemit. That is more than enough. ;)

Would you like me to do more of these videos in this style? I will continue the Steemy Show either way. But this is easy to produce and a lot of fun to watch.

Hello, I just discovered your blog and memory techniques are very important for memorizing passwords, (long term memorization). I've been planning to make a post about how to memorize for example a 12 word phrase. After all, in the future a private key may be the key to your entire life.

Yeah, something like that is super easy. I actually wrote an article about the so-called brain wallet: https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@flauwy/how-to-create-a-secure-brain-wallet-store-your-bitcoins-in-your-memory

Feel free to write your own one. I am happy when we have more articles about memory techniques. I am building a community here pulling in memory athletes from all over the world.
