Hey everyone!
In today's video I want to talk about never giving up on your dreams and passions!
Tonight a guy named @mikestrawson reached out to me (Hope it's ok to share that Mike!) and told me he really enjoys my DTube videos, as well as my travel vlog videos over on my YouTube channel, and in return he inspired me to make this video!
I forget the power my content can have on other people. People who aren't me, that get to watch the content without knowing how it all came together, the struggles and the confidence issues, and just get to simply enjoy it. Getting to see all the behind the scenes can take a lot of the magic out of my videos for me personally, and I'll forget that there are people who truly do enjoy my content. That what I'm doing in my videos does have a meaningful impact on other people's lives.
And then that made me think of the quote, "Never give up! Never back down!" I sort of screamed it at myself as these thoughts washed over me tonight, and I also wanted to tell Mike that as well. If I can give any advice to newer creators, it's to not be too hard on yourself, don't overthink anything, just keep living, keep making content, and most important of all, ENJOY YOURSELF!
It's way, way to easy to get wrapped up in stress and feel overwhelmed while chasing your dreams. You're most likely out of your comfort zone, most likely not that financially well off, and to top it all off there's no guarantees it'll work out. But one thing that can't get taken away from you in the end is the experiences, the memories, and having the time of your fucking life as you're out there chasing everything you ever wanted.
So, @mikestrawson, and to anyone else who is watching and reading this, please take my advice and apply it to your own journey. You never know where the path will lead until you go down it, and it may not be exactly what you imagined or hoped for, but the fact is you're out of your comfort zone chasing your dreams, and no matter what, it'll be damn better than any other reality you could be sending yourself down. Because you are outside of your comfort zone, and that is where the magic happens.
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover."
-Mark Twain
Thank you @dtube for helping me chase my dreams. It means more than I can ever explain.
Hope you all enjoyed this and can draw inspiration from it!
Have a wonderful day!
Take care,
Jordan

Appreciate the shout out man :D The things that you mention about the magic being taken out of your videos because you're the one who makes them resonates a lot with me, by the time I hit upload I'm sick of the song, sick of the footage etc. It makes me almost feel disdain towards the video because it's taken so much of my time to work on. Not that I'll let that stop me making more! Keep up the good work :)
(also, looks like my DTube comments work on my phone, but not my laptop. Hmmm)
Yeah, I hear you man. I used to get that too when I was making my first 50 vlogs or so. I don't experience that too much anymore! But I do still fail to see the value in my content sometimes, especially if I don't get much of a response on it. But every once in a while I see the true value of it and realize it's something special! Thanks Mike, same to you man!
