That is good in theory, but that also assumes that there is no government regulation/subsidy involved, that there are no globe-spanning media conglomerates which can easily decide if the average person has an awareness of said environmental concerns, subsidies, etc.
The idea that energy is finite I would say is incorrect. If not in fact, then at least effectively, as far as our experience of the universe is concerned. The limiting factor (currently) is simply how that energy is being converted into electrical usable by human technology. The sun puts off more energy that we know what to do with, wind, tidal, geo-thermal, zero-point, electromagnetic, etc.

One of the great feats of the Internet is that the power of the media has been reduced to the extent that people are more aware of their surroundings and can communicate with other people more easily, especially in young people.
Regarding the energy,it was an idea in general = D, anyway I hope we see the cold fusion.
