RE: GUESSING WEIRDEST GERMAN SAYINGS | CHALLENGE

in #dtube7 years ago

Wow, I am getting out of sync with your videos, stupid daylightsaving times and crazy work dragging me out of bed 5 in the morning on a sunday, wroom and it´s almost Tuesday here in Sweden. Wooot.

The video took ages to load in high quality, DTube seems to be really slow at times since a few days so I compensated and downloaded all four qualities of this video onto my IPFS server where they will be seeded for a couple of months with enough bandwidth.

Anyways, on to the video...
Get the cow of the ice, kind of reminds me of the swedish saying "Det är ingen ko på isen" (There is no cow on the ice) which means that there isn´t a problem, The german saying makes sense.
Stop talking around the hot soup is kind of like "gå som katten kring het gröt" but not with the exact same meaning.
Would have loved to have the german translation even though I do not know much German except for a few words learned in school and those related to Swedish, Sophie, you should throw in some random translations here and there in your videos.

Thanks for the video guys. :)

Good idea with the translations we thought about it for a while and decided it might distract from the video. But maybe next time we will try it : )
Crazy how similar some Sweedsh sayings are
