In this report, I cover the early market action from London on Wednesday, July 24th, 2019. I look briefly at the precious metals, the stock market, the dollar, the bond market and the price of WTI and Brent crude oil.
Today I look at what is in my opinion and also the Mises Institute's the best book on money. "What Has Government Done to Our Money" by Murray Rothbard is a must-read for anyone who wants to better understand the nature of our present monetary system and money.
It is understandable why mainstream academia does not publicise this book as much as it should as we know that the people who control our money and government are the same people who probably endow the major universities as well. As Henry Ford once said, "It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning".
My conclusion is that reading this book for the first time will be eye-opening like it was for me many years ago and will make me look not only at money differently but the world in general.
