Welcome Back to another vlog by your boy @mrviquez I hope you are all doing well today and able to find peace and happiness in your lives. As for me I am a really excited today!!!!! My wife finally comes back from her Florida vacation today and I couldn't be happier!!!!! I will be be filming a vlog of me picking her up from the airport.
Now onto the subject of today's vlog. POLONIEX aka BOLONIEX has come under fire lately for their bad business practices and lack of communication with it's customers. Honestly that isn't the worse thing a company can do in fact most large companies lack in great communication with their customers. The problem with Poloniex is that for some strange reason they seem to disable the wallets on a regular basis. What's worse is that they stop crediting people one day before they even list the wallet as disabled. The last three times I have sent over Steem the wallets were not listed as disabled but I never received the coins in my wallet. Than like clockwork the next day it was disabled. The Steem wallets are constantly disabled and they say it's Steemit Inc's fault. You would think that Poloniex would have certain people monitoring the situation ready to act on some "problem" with the wallets. No they can't do that they just allow people to continue sending in the coins.
It get's better now I have noticed that every time one of these events happens the price either goes extremely lower than all other exchanges or it goes extremely higher. This is very strange to me. At the moment the wallets are disabled (what a surprise) and for the past week Steem has been cheaper on Poloniex than anywhere else. Now today the price seems to be moving in the positive direction. My guess is that they are about to open the wallets back up. Easy profit for them and anyone who was smart enough to buy it and hold until the wallets went online. Right now at this moment I have 5 Steem that I sent last month as a test deposit and I am still waiting. I'm sure that there are hundreds of other people who have their coins in limbo and not in their possession.
If anyone from Steemit Inc reads this post and watches my vlog please the public needs some answers. I am not blaming you guys but this is not a small problem. Poloniex holds almost 50% of the SBD in circulation at the moment. 1,345,329.717 to be exact and there is only around 3.5 million. lol ok almost 50% is a little exaggerated but you feel what I am saying.

the new .026 daily limit is very inconvenient...it got me to wondering what exactly can Bittrex do for me that BlockTrades cannot....

You mean the withdrawal limit? I haven't had any problems with it, because I play with so little money and haven't withdrawed any big amounts. I do it little by little because I'm so lazy to transfer them in and out all the time :) But it will become a problem when I get more money involved.
