How to Apply Eyeshadow with a Makeup Brush

Applying eyeshadow with a brush can give you a defined look. Use a brush when you want to achieve precision and blend the colors beautifully.

Tip: A few good brushes to keep on hand include 2 small flat brushes, a small fluffy brush, a medium flat brush, a medium rounded fluffy brush, and a small pointed brush.

Step 1: Using your fingers or a flat eyeshadow brush, apply eye primer.

Step 2: Use a medium flat brush to apply a base shadow in a skin tone shade all over your entire eyelid.

Step 3: Grab a medium rounded fluffy brush. Apply a transition shade in your crease.

Step 4: Apply a matte or shimmery “main” shade on your mobile lid with a flat eyeshadow brush.

Step 5: Use a smaller flat or pointed brush to apply your transition shade to your lower lash line.

Step 6: To add depth to your eye look, select a darker shade and apply it to the outer part of your eye. Blend it in with a small fluffy brush.

Step 7: Add a pretty highlight as a finishing touch to the inner corner of your eye and your brow bone Highlight with a small pointed brush. Remember, if you have some fallout then take a big fluffy brush and dust the fallout away.
