Hey friends!
On today's vlog I take you with me on my overnight trip to the Daintree Rainforest.
The tropical rainforest ecosystem of the Daintree Rainforest is one of the most complex on Earth. It's plant diversity and structural complexity is unrivalled on the Australian continent and represents the origins of other Australian flora. Just a small reason it is listed as one of the World's Heritage Areas.
I am always amazed by the diversity of this country and I am grateful that some of these beautiful places are apart of my backyard!
Also I apologise for the choppiness of this video. The things I am beginning to learn about vlogging is that having a general layout of how you want the storyline to play out is important. Transitions between scenes really bring it all together. If you forget or get lazy with filming the footage may fall out of context and be confusing to follow.
I thoroughly enjoy making these sort of vlogs and I am learning new things every day. It's amazing how creative your mind can become and how you start to see things in a new light.
I hope you enjoy. 💗
Biggest love to you!
Sarah. 🐊

It is good to go tracking to nature!
It sure is!
4.5 meters to stay safe from the crocodiles! Holy moly your world is much different than mine at the moment hahaha.
Hahah I've definitely gotten use to having these big boys in my backyard. Honestly though I've only seen a few in my life time - from quite a distance. But as they don't have any predators and they don't allow culling they are starting to take over a little.
That looks amazing! 😍
Thanks @paolajane! It's a pretty beautiful place. 😁
Very very cool place. Nice Vlog, I see your confidence is growing !
Thanks @adventuroussoul! Honestly I get very inspired by your videos. Your voice reminds me of a typical aussie tv announcer, I always enjoy it! I'm starting to recognise patterns that I do and what I want to work on the more I move through it.
So nice!
Thanks. 😊
This is such a beautiful place but with all those warning signs it makes me feel a bit scary. And this seems to be like a really hot and wet climate isn't it?
Yeah I live in the wet tropics so it's usually pretty hot and humid! Hahah and having a friend who isn't Australian visiting has really shown me how many things here are trying to attack you. I guess growing up I've kinda gotten use to it.
Ok let me get this straight. There's a sign saying "Crocodiles" and you guys are still there? Let alone swimming? hahah. I'd be out of there so fast !! 😆
There are some spots you can swim in when the water is low that don't have crocs but you just gotta take a lot of precaution. Haha I'm not gonna let some big old lizards stop me from experiencing some of the most beautiful nature spots in my country. Don't forget though, I'm pretty use to it and I've grown up understanding what is safe and what isn't.
You are so lucky to be living in such a beautiful place. I would love to see more videos like this. You have such richness around you, would be a pity not to capture it too more often. Very beautiful even with the possible danger of crocodiles sneaking around! :)
@lostinhappiness. It is a very beautiful place and I have had so much fun exploring! I'm glad you enjoy these type of vlogs. There are many more places that I want to share with you guys. 💜
I've never someone vlog in the Rain-forest before & I have to say it is so beautiful, I can't wait to see what else you post! :)
Thanks @cailliyork! I'm glad you enjoy this style of vlog! I live in a pretty beautiful place in the world so there is plenty to share.
These places are awesome. Nature is awesome. I want to go on a trip to one of those places. Wow
I would definitely recommend it if you are ever in Australia. And yes, nature is AWESOME!

Heya, just swinging by to let you know you're being featured in our Daily Travel Digest!
WOW it is such a beautiful place... Loved the sounds of nature.!
You could have used some steem to pay for that. ehehehe LOL
Yeah here in London is the same... eveytime we to the the parks is crazy... we need to be really careful with the squirrels and during the night in the city the foxs just go crazy...
Pretty savage here in London as well.. So I understand the feeling... ehehhehe Last week I even saw a cat outside without a collar.. that was scary! eheheheh
Soon enough I'll be throwing steem around like it's nothing! 💸
Hahaha them squirrels! I've only ever experienced them in the states. We don't have them in Australia and I'm sure if they're hungry enough they'll get up in your face haha.
London sounds terrifying not sure if I'll be able to survive it Sergio!! 😱
I guess why You don't have squirrels there 🐊 lol
how long did you stay there for?
Just the night. 😊
Wow nice vlog! The Daintree is impossibly beautiful. Just being there makes me forget I am "me" and I just melt into the forest like any other creature on our planet. I should've filmed more but really just wanted to be in the moment. Maybe I should make a video of cool stuff around Townsville?
I actually did a video today that involved editing for once (music and chopping... whatever it's called... instead of unedited laziness), super fun and really enjoyed it! Hope I can connect with some people an inspire them in some small way. I can see what you mean about telling a story and you do it really well. Keep learning, you're great at it already! So much more confidence than your first video too. I can see it is definitely your path so enjoy it and I look forward to many more :)
I know! It's absolutely insane. It really takes your breath away and just knowing it has existed for so many years is such a precious thing. I'll honestly take an experience with nature over anything. It's also good to be in the moment. I was trying to make sure I was balanced between filming and being present in what I was experiencing.
I dont think you can ever go wrong with doing a video that shows off your city. I'm thinking about doing one just directly involving Cairns city just to give a better understanding of what it is like here. I'm excited to see your video! I like mixing up between unedited and edited videos. It's fun to get creative with editing and really present a story to the viewer.
And you do inspire! I really enjoy your videos and your down to earth nature. And I appreciate the compliment - feeling more and more confident as each vlog goes by. 😊
Wonderful
Cheers!
Such a peaceful and beautiful place!
My heart is MELTING!
I am so much of a summer person, it’s even hard to watch (but in a good way 😄), my heart clenches and I wish I could BE there, and hear the ocean, and the birds singing, and maybe meet some crocs.
And you’re doing so great with your videos! I’m so happy for you! :)
You are naturally beautiful, both inside and out!
Maybe you should consider visiting Australia sometime! 😉
And thank you, I appreciate you so much Kate!! 💜
Oh, yess, I just need to fight through this hectic period and then I can think about traveling the world this year. I think, Dtube and Steemit could certainly help to make that happen. :)
That is the dream I think!!
Beautiful place, amazing vlog! Teach me how to vlog! Lol. (No, seriously, do!)
Did you write to me about DLive somewhere? I seem to remember that, but I can’t find it for the life of me!
Hahah I don't know what tips I can give. Point and shoot and hope for the best when you are trying to edit it all together ahah, No seriously though sometimes I have an idea but so far it's mostly been just playing around with a lot of different things that present in the moment.
Also do you know if you can stream with two devices for Dlive? Like through your phone but also coming up on a laptop? I would like to do a live stream for an art piece but I want an over shot view which is tricky with a laptop and also I can't see if people are interacting with me.
that spot looked sweet....i probs would have just crossed that river and taken my chances with the crocodiles....but you are a wiser person than i.
Haha I definitely considered it but there was a river further up that was deeper so it seemed pointless. Would've be nice just to see a croc from a distance though.
