No Jaywalking in Spokane!
A friend sent me a link to an article and video in the Northwest Inlander. It cited a citizen filming the police while they arrested someone for "Interference with Pedestrian or Vehicular Traffic" and "Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer". It sparked a bit of a firestorm locally with citizens going to facebook and wondering why this situation escalated. Interestingly enough the Spokane PD Public Relations department made it sound as if the suspect was very uncooperative and belligerent.
