[EP222] - The biggest little farm...

in #dtube5 years ago

Hi everyone!

Hope you're all well!
Welcome to my video made exclusively for D.Tube.

The Biggest Little Farm is a fantastic movie that must have taken, like, 10 years to make. The shots of the various animals are just incredible and it's a super interesting story about trying to use a diversity of plants and animals to work together in harmony - and the complications that arise.

I think the movie is truly about mankind deciding how much it should interfere and how much it should just let things be...

Since we have our own little property, this movie really made me think about things very differently. We're still not really sure what we want to do. I'd love to turn it into a farm... but it's perfectly set up for horses and if we remove the functionality for horses then if we want to sell it we miss out on a huge section of the local market. We kind of need to decide if we're staying in the US or moving back to Australia in the next 5 to 10 years, and that's a tough call.

I'd prefer to stay, I think Oregon is much better set up for the climate emergency than Australia is... but so many of our friends and family are in Australia.

Man, this movie made things deep on this here blog...

Thanks for watching!

Hey, just checking out your channel cause you commented on mine. Looks cool. I live out in the country. It's so underrated and cities in general completely overrated! :)

Hey hey! I actually never would have guessed you were out in the country... it seems like you've got your finger on the pulse in tech, so I just assumed you were in the city. I completely agree... I've been a city slicker all my life and never really enjoyed it. The peace and quiet is life changing, honestly...

I also don't really like being too dependent on others, so I think the ability to grow your own food is pretty important.
