No. Don't laugh! People really need to know these animals do kill .... most especially the bulls. ... Of course, uh, we kind of did laugh ...
We have been raising pups for the last year and one of them became a teenager and decided he was tough stuff. I don't know what the deal was. The cows across from us live on a hill. He and this cow decided they had it in for each other. He took off from our drive and she took off from the top of the hill, they met up ... almost met up ... about half way. The cow as moving as fast as our dog!! We think he's some Labrador, Jack-Russel terrier mix. Anyway, just before they met up, dog decided he was a bit smaller and came running back home. He then got to spent a week on the electro-collar. I use to think those things were so inhumane until they became the only way to save our uh bull-headed young male dogs.
Now, the year before, we were raising our German-Shepherd/Pyrenees and he'd go over and run the pasture and the cows would totally ignore him and he was only interested in running the full length of the pasture back and forth like a big, beautiful show-off. Yeah. He's one big hairy mess. And lovable and loyal and sweet and everything good except obedient ... unless he's wearing the collar. If he's not wearing it, I need it. If he's wearing it, I seldom ever ever have to use it. ... go figure.
Well you are right, they are HUGE especially when after you and like you say they do move FAST! Much faster than one would think! I'm glad your dog decided to live to see another day.
