Ravi Shankar is a well-known sitar player and classical musician. He played an important role in taking Indian classical music abroad with the support of the Beatles and especially George Harrison. He was born on 7 April 1920 in Varanasi. His elder brother Udayashankar in a famous scripture drama, Raviskar ji went on foreign trips with him and also acted in many dancers.
In 1938, he gave up dancing and embraced music and started training for sitar playing with Ustad Alauddin Khan of Meher Gharana.
After finishing her training in 1944, she came to I. P. T. a . I enrolled and started making melodious tunes for ballet. He was also the instrumental head of All India Radio.
