Last night we had extra innings in Wrigley. After a productive 1st inning the score remained tied at 3 taking the game into extra innings. The Reds seemed to have trouble keeping the offense flowing after their first inning. The Reds tried to get some offense going at the end of the 10th but it wasn't to be. Instead they'd end up giving up a home run to Kyle Schwarber in the bottom of the 10th inning to end the game.
As I watched the after game analysis I had to agree that this is one the Reds are going to look back on being disappointed for missing an opportunity. We had the chance to move in for less than 5 games out but now fall to 6.5. We'll still get our chance to take the series when we face off against the Cubs today at 2:20pm. We're going to need as many wins as possible to recover the ground needed to become a division leader.
