Kind of like the Bell curve of top You Tubers. Dumbing down and compromising has driven me away from a few of the shows I use to love. Once a bit of fame and popularity came their way their shows changed to appeal to a larger audience and with it everything that made their shows worth watching in the first place. That is why Seth Godin is always saying to not be average because that takes away everything unique and worthwhile.
I'm going to make a video about three youtube cliches that drive me fucking insane.
My husband has this problem on twitch. People just get all hopped up on caffeine and over react and fake laugh.

"appeal to the average brain" LOLOLOL. I've never thougth about htis subject, but I think you are right
Do you fear that if more people come to this platform it will start getting dumbed down? That the developers, to try to appeal to the mainstream, make D Tube more like You Tube. There is a desire in creators for a You Tube alternative and I am genuinely scared that any platform which starts off good will twist, distort and evolve into something horrible.
One thing though.... I think the discussions on here are much healthier than You Tube and I hope above everything else that continues.
That depends on if the rating system changes. Steem Power should still be king.
