Just over a month ago, I published a post called Busking for Steemfest 3 - Custom Poetry where I offered to write personalized poetry in an attempt to raise some much needed steem to help me on my journey to Krakow. To my surprise a few people were kind enough to donate and this is the first of the poems I wrote. The poem in the beat style as requested by one of the first people to comment on any of my posts on steemit and the only steemian I have met in person, buttcoins.

Much has happened since then that has exceeded my wildest imaginings. The kindness and support of the steemit community really astounded me when I won a free ticket in pharesim's comment competition. Also, I received some help from curie and the support of many other amazing steemians to make my journey possible. However, the moment when I first started to feel like the quest might be achievable was that first donation for the busking with poetry post and that first one came from, yes you've guessed it, buttcoins.

I firmly beleive that it is the content that is the most important thing about steem. Forget what some may tell you about development or community, they are both important, but if steemit is a success one thing will be left to the world when your'e dead and buried, your content. So the idea of this personalized poem is to tell the 'virtual' journey of Bryan, AKA buttcoins down the paths that his content has taken him.

Steem Flow – Beat Poem

Bang it started with cryptobro,
Then a blog flow that spat scenes
Of guatamalan dreams repeleat
With enigma, volcanic stigmata
Flowing magma, beneath the surface.
Knife fights and tropical sunlight
Atitilan Sizzling with mosquitoes.
Mad blank canvas, this ain’t Kansas,
Not anymore, bottom floor jump off,
Jump up, steem powered, rough cut,
Bleeding words like a glut
From this crypto harvest…
Divesting creativity from the main-
Stream, broken scene
of the elitist machine.

But back to the subject in hand,

Bang…
Slam, he slammed us with comedy
Style, improv master of disaster
never yogic practitioner,
A don’t let fear get the better of you
Parishioner, at the church of
Wherever, no never with boundaries
Mushroom, shroom compound, sounds
Sluicing from rivers of markdown,
Resounding a healing torrent,
Washing abhorrent echos of old
Emboldened conditioning, listening
To… the… slow…. Sound of the morning
Unfolding in
Swaying mountains, surmounting
That mounting hum of drums…
In the shimmering-sun distance.

But back to the subject in hand,

Bam, he bled dark in the edit,
sparking brothers Dark,
a tale of two halves,
Split personality skew on reality,
Rooftop fights, plane flights,
All in sight of steem-world,
Crypto narrative, comparative
Expression, let loose
On a dtube jam session.
Razor sharp, cut scenes, gleaning
Reams of plot-lines
in quick-time, building tempo
like ascending a volcano,
climbing miles of sky,
fly-by drone hovering over
the scene of a perfect crime.
Sublime….

But back to the subject in hand,

Next up, steem-inspired movement
Jetting to steemfest, divesting
The usual, embracing creative,
Proof-of-brain, mentally insane
To the nine-to-fivers, blind to
New paradigms, shine on the virtual
Value of air, wandering streets where
Genocide happened, but we learn,
Yearn for one way doors
To never revolve, to evolve, dissolve
Hatred, the artists, writers, film makers,
Will shake the movers-and-shakers… out.
Show them what evolution is about,
Born in expression
Without…. Judgment.

But back to the subject in hand,

Yes, to mad 'jst don't give a fck' nights out in Krakow brother! I spoke to someone on a discord virtual meet-up for Brits who is staying in the dtubedaily mansion with ya'll. I said I might try and crash one of your parties one of the nights in Krakow 😂

oh man... i wish i just had laziness as my excuse. im here posting on the blockchain ... which makes me sound so capable and futuristic. but im a tech idiot. i never figured out how to even open the poem and reading. i tried several times and then i get this painful internal feeling of inadequacy and had to stop. so im super pumped you posted.... cause i actually got to enjoy!!

Thanks man! I do practice my performance poetry quite a lot and I think I've got decent at it but it all kind of goes west when I do it up on stage. I get mad stage fright. I'm ok if I don't look at the crowd but that doesn't leave much room for showmanship 😂

Stage fright is real, tops the list of phobias after all
If one just keeps at it ... I wonder if it eventually goes away
