Hey Jerry, question - how does "account recovery" make a cryptocurrency safer? I understand the importance and value in this recovery method that Dan announced last year, but I don't understand how this necessarily makes it safer than other wallets if it's still in fact as susceptible to hacking as anyone else. Really interested in understanding all of this as a newbie here, as I just posted about this topic. Maybe this is a bit tacky to ask.. but would you mind reading my second post, called "From Skeptic to Cheerleander," and giving me any feedback while I still have time to edit the post? The blockchain permanence is quite daunting to me. Your help would be much appreciated, thanks so much.

@saradear the basic idea is that we can get control back of our accounts if it is lost without losing much instead of with many other wallets any security breach can easily lead to losing everything. The difference is here if we have powered up Steem we are likely to lose less than 10% while most wallets the loss would be 100%!
