書中講述現時各大醫學,各大美容護膚用品公司的科學家,都在研究如何增加線粒體達至抗衰老效果。線粒體就是細胞內的發电廠,如果線粒體多,身體有足夠抗氧化,人就變得年輕,疾病也會減少。
其中最關鍵的一個做法就是增加人體的優質肌肉,因為高能量的線粒體都存在肌肉細胞內,肌肉比例越高,抗衰老能力越大,所以如果你肌肉量越高,你的身體越年輕越少疾病,如你的肌肉少,你的能量越少,抗氧化越差,身體就會很多疾病,而且會很快變老。
