Kamadhenu (the Cow), Kalpavriksha (the Tree of fulfillment), Amruta (the Drink of immortality), and Mother Lakshmi (the Goddess of prosperity) all emerged at the same time in the creational process and are considered to be most splendorous embodiments of divinity. The Vedas extol Cow as the most sacred being condescended to be on Earth to nourish the beings. The word 'GAU' (Cow) has three seed sounds - G stands for Movement, A stands for Will, and U stands for Wisdom. Gau, therefore, considered to be the composite energy movement of Will, Love, and Knowledge. The secretions for the formation of the seven planes of existence i.e. Bhu, Bhuvar, Suvar, Mahar, Jana, Tapo, and Satya Loka emerge from Kamadhenu and the related formation of creation is therefore considered by the Vedic seers as the form of Cow.
Kamadhenu also known as Surabhi, always accompanies Aadi Guru Lord Dattatreya. His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Ganapathy Sachhidananda Swamiji, the incarnation of Lord Dattatreya and pontiff of Avadhoota Datta Peetham, Mysuru, demonstrates Ahimsa (Harmlessness), Love, and Compassion towards the Cow for the progress of mankind. In this mission, Sri Swamiji is giving everlasting inspiration to the millions of devotees around the world to help support Surabhivana, a goshala, in serene premises of Avadhoota Datta Peetham, Mysuru. Surabhivana gives protective shelter to cows with a high degree of commitment and compassion. Pujya Sri Swamiji is helping save the planet by letting us experience firsthand how to care for Cows and Birds, the very two critical players in our ecosystem.

Surabhi ! Humble pranams to you Gomata 🙏🏽 I just read about you in Datta Darsanam Book, where you were kidnapped by the 84,000 year old King Kartaviryarjuna and then you were rescued by Parasurama, as usual you are a silent witness of all, like Mother Earth.
