Nice setup! We are getting our plucker this weekend. Scalder vs. a pot of water on a burner....pros? Cons? I've debated getting one simply for convenience, but not sure if it's worth it. I noticed in your other comment about selling them. Arkansas (where we are) is the strictest state, but next is Kentucky and the difference is you guys can have a mobile processor come to you and process them in order to sell. Not sure how much that runs, but it's a thought.

We used to sell meat retail. Was just one big headache and not worth the little money we made. Now we just raise meet for our family and friends to eat.

The scalder is very convenient. Keeps a very constant temp which is nice.
