That's really cool and I like the song too. You need to get the band onto Steemit. I know it can be tough to make money from music, but I know a lot of musicians are doing well here.

out of everyone I have turned onto steemit musicians seem the quickest to give up, maybe having Dtube is going to help, I will encourage them to try again x
I hope things will change. We have some cool tools like dtube and dsound now. If they publish here then there's at least a chance to earn.

There are some issues with these services. They are using distributed storage that has a cost and the performance can be variable. I expect people are looking into alternatives
One of the problems is that it's really hard to effectively curate musicians. Its harder to spot plagiarism and then posts tend to be a lot smaller (in terms of word count). The chances of being picked up by someone like Curie, who in turn would give good exposure is pretty small. That's a shame, as there are no doubt some really talented musicians who would benefit from being on here.
