RE: Presenting Steem and Oracle-D at the Mallorca Blockchain Conference [Official Recording]

in #dtube6 years ago

@glenalbrethsen I have had many spells away from the blockchain this year due to a family illness, then bereavement, it has severely stunted my potential for growth, but family first of course. I will have ample chance to grow and grow this year.

The reason I mention this is that each time I return one thing remains true and it is heartening to see. YOU Sir are everywhere, engaging to the max. Camped out in comment sections across the chain.

Kudos to you for bringing a familiarity that nevers wavers, never falters so that each time I have to take a step back, I return to seeing an oh-so-familiar face.

Stay awesome man :)

Hey, @stevenwood.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I suppose it happens to all of us at some point, but that doesn't make it any easier going through it.

And yes, family first, always. STEEM seems to be resilient enough so far, in spite of us sometimes, to keep on going even if we have to step away for awhile.

re: everywhere

I laughed when I read this. It made my day. I've seen better times, engagement-wise, but then, I guess it depends on what the norm is. For some, I'm everywhere, to others, I'm dogging it, and the reality is probably somewhere bouncing between the two. :)

And in reality, I owe most of anything I manage to do to the Curation and Engagement Leagues ran by @abh12345. They are why I'm encouraged to get out as far as I can, even if it's in my best interest to do so anyway.

Without them, I'm pretty sure I would have left before now. Maybe come back to see what had changed, but I wouldn't have stuck it out this long doing what I do every day.

I appreciate the very kind words, though. They're very encouraging and make me want to do more. :)

I hope things have quieted down for you and that you can have more time here if you so choose.
