And the longer I hang out on this platform and in the crypto space in general, the happier I am with my user name. I created it in 2013 - two years "B.C." (Before Crypto) and just reserved it as a twitter handle.
It's like I had a premonition... ;) I only actually began using it in 2017.
@surfermarley I would not. Especially if you are building a brand. If you are only doing Steemit to socialize, then "maybe." But I have worked towards being able to just google melbookermusic and have it consistently show up with either my school, insta, YouTube, books, etc. Of course you can NEVER change your Steemit name, you're one of our heroes. It would be like Wonder Woman changing her name lol 😀✌🏾
Haha, you're always too kind! Thanks for your lovely words. I don't feel like @wonderwoman but it could be funny to set up an account with this nickname and look what happens ;-)
Great statement regarding the brand building, I totally second that! Actually steemit was the first place where I started to use @surfermarly, but now all my channels (Insta, Twitter, YouTube) have the very same identity. That's excellent for the reason you mentioned: people can find and follow you everywhere.
It's always a pleasure reading your thoughts. You're @wonderman though ;-)
Haha, I know you'r real - I met you!!! :-D
Thanks for your lovely words. I missed being here, too.
Currently I'm super busy in real life so won't be able to blog post daily. But I'll try to at least surf around a bit every now and then... See you around happy girl!
I'm human and I would not change my steemit name as it was well thought out and is a reflection of me.............. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas my friend. The new year is approaching quickly with many more of life's most excellent surprises. I'll see you there........
Im a human, I dont believe robots like to surf;) I would keep my name as I have used it since I was a kid playing xbox live. My friend tried to copy it once and backfired. He forgot the P and called himself imerialaussie ahahaha. Congrats on the 4k followers. I love watching surfing clips and what you write about.
LOL - nice comment, thanks for the laughter :-)
Maybe in the future robots will be even able to surf, I have no idea. Thing is they won't be able to FEEL it, so they'll never enjoy it in such way human beings do...
Thanks, the robots might short circuit ;). I appreciate you following me, only started steem it two months ago. Hopefully the waves will be good soon, so I can have some good surfing footage with my new go pro :) looking forward to your posts in 2018 and happy new year !!!
Congrats on the 4000 followers and happy holidays! I am a human from Hawaii (not a surfer, but I love to bodyboard!) and I would not change my steemit nickname :) Haha, @beauknows says it all!
Keep doing what you are doing. 5000 followers should be right around the corner!
Thanks for your lovely words and encouragement, Beau! That's a beautiful real name btw.
Surfers and bodyboarders are best friends - at least at my place :-) So I'm following your blog now. See you around!
Nope, i have been using this nickname for years in online games and i really like it and using my real name might be an option but i am happy with this one
And i noticed i made 400 followers, so i am happy about that ( went surfing in nz by the way... raglan, really cool beach, reminded me of lanzarote a bit)
Great to hear that! I bet a lot of people have one single username which they're using in many different networks.
Congrats to your 400!! I'm happy to be one of them :-) I didn't surf a lot lately, have been rather lazy since I needed a break from everything. Also there haven't been many waves. But I'll be back paddling out on the weekend.
I'm not very surprised that you hit that many followers since your posts are awesome and I really enjoy them and can't wait to see more of it this coming new year.Wow. This is amazing. Huge congrats @surfermarly on your success.
I would like to change my steemit name, but I think it's too late now which is fine.
Thanks for your lovely words, that was too kind! I'm happy you enjoy reading my stuff in such way, and I really hope that I'll keep fulfilling your expectations :-)
Why would you change your nickname (if I may ask?) and which one would be your favourite one then?
I am so happy that you've reached this milestone and I am super happy to be one of the humans.
Actually, when I chose my username, I was living in Chile and it was very appropriate. Now that I am back in the states, not so much. Now, it's what everyone knows me by and even if I could change it, I'm not sure that would be a wise decsion now.
I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't be the best idea to change your nickname since you have an impressive number of followers and they all know you under that name. Also I like yours because it's different and easy to memorize :-) That "licious"-ending always makes me remember your incredibly yummy creations. So from my point of view it's perfect! Thanks for your lovely words, @gringalicious!!
If we don't chat again before: Have a wonderful start into 2018!!
Personally I never thought about another name other than Cryptosteve
which is the current name I still have on my account.
my passion for crypto leads me to choose it from the beginning.
Who knows,, Maybe someday I could think about another one,, for the time being this is the only name I have and I still keep it.
Cheers
It's excellent to relate a username with a passion. Instinctly I did the very same. Maybe it's a good option to not create the name according to a fleeting emotion or idea; like that you'll be supposedly enjoying it for a long time.
Congratulations on getting 4k+ followers @surfermarly. I was very confused regarding the name. So finally used Fproductions (F**K productions). Thought whats in the name.
I thought about the "F-word" when I just opened your blog. Seems that you're having some serious plagiarism issues. Not cool! You should try to create your own content instead of copying others'...
Congratulations Marly, that's an awesome milestone you reached!
Wish you all the best for the future.
Love your surfing posts!
Regarding your question:
I would not change my username.
I thought about it very well before I started here on steemit and in my opinion infinityroad fits perfect for my mindset and for the content which I create.
The only limits that you have are the ones, you set yourself.
you have unlimited opportunities to design your life.
So think outside the box and expand your horizon.
Carpe Diem, because you live only once on this earth.
As you might see, I love my nickname haha
Have a good end of 2017 and an even better start for 2018! :)
Haha, yeah it's obvious that you totally love your nickname :-) And that's actually great - because then you wouldn't ever regret having picked this one. It fits perfectly! Thanks for your lovely congratulations, @infinityroad!
Just replied to him about a similar question.
I am 100% human (hopefully) and I am me. I post about my life and my music and family (everything important to me you can see in my cover pic of my profile). @firepower 's blog got me here! 😁
I would stick to @hardikv ✨
Thanks for coming over though :-)
I like your profile description, so you've got a new follower now. See you aroundYeah I've just seen @firepower's post. It's a fascinating topic!
Congrats on hitting 4k subs!!
Yeah if I could change my Steemit name I probably would as rbennett is just my name and not something catchy. The more memorable steemit names are clever puns or they relate to their regular content.
Yeah well, sometimes when you sign up to a new place you still haven't any idea on how it's going to end up. So that's been actually the reason for my question. I've been lucky choosing a nickname that can be both related to my doings (surfing waves) but also to the internet world (surfing online) ;-)
Well you can still open a second acount and create something different there. I have almost 10 Steemit accounts running now and they're all for a different purpose. In the end this is a playground and we can try things on a large scale... Also thanks for your congrats!!
Congratulations! I am a human who is happy being known as fishyculture... lol! It is a play on words combining 2 aspects of me, my interest in aquaponics and my suspicions about what is really going on in this world!
That's cool! Now I realize that it was a good move to ask people about their nicknames. Like that we come to know a lot of cool stories and analogies :-) Also thank you very much for your congratulations
I've chosen @anotsopopularkid since I've been using it for a while now (especially in the blogging space). It's a reflection of my aspirations back when I was still in college which happens to also be the time I created the name.
I felt like I was a nobody before, who is trying so hard to get noticed. This is why I thought of the name, a reminder for me to get past myself. I didn't want to become "popular", I just wanted to be "somebody".
A lot had happened already, and I'm content with who I am. I'm still using the name to keep me grounded and remember my humble start.
first of all...congrats to your 4000 Followers, this is amazing!!
I'm pretty sure that you know I´m a human 🤖. 😉
Anyway, to answer your question. I've never thought about changing my/our nickname as im really happy with it. Our Name became like a Mantra for us the past years. Whenever something goes wrong or we got some days/weeks when we don't feel very good and are in a bad mood, we say to ourself "better than home". 😁
I've been using the username @ammonite from the the days the internet was just bullletin boards and am still happy with it. It's not to be anonymous as my real name is easily found. I'm glad that in these early days of steem it was still available and i didnt have to opt for ammonite1. I wont be changing anytime soon. And i am proud to say I am 100% organic ( all be it with a crunchy shell). Congrads on the 4k.
I stay to "brainnipper". I don't always like it. But most of the time, I am crazy enough for it.
Haha, I love it! It's 100% YOU :-)
I'm human!! :D
And the longer I hang out on this platform and in the crypto space in general, the happier I am with my user name. I created it in 2013 - two years "B.C." (Before Crypto) and just reserved it as a twitter handle.

Hahaha! I've never heard that before. Now we have the time before Christ and the time before Bitcoin? That's amazing - lol!
I know that you're human, and besides one of the most friendly, kind and inspiring ones in the whole network :-)
Keep being awesome!
😊 right back at you!
I just made up the B.C. though I'm sure I'm not the first one ;)
Oh noooo, I'm logged in with my German account!!! Hahaha!!
Of course I am speaking of @connecteconomy with everything I just said above.
But I am loving and living this user name, too :)
Haha, gotcha :-)
Congrats @surfermarly! 4000+ Steemians! I think I'm a human being haha ... I like my name STACKIN :)
Oh I know you are! And you're one of my favourite ones btw :-)
Thanks for stopping by!!!

I'm glad to read that. Since you're a very balanced person (as far as I know), I didn't expect anything else actually :-)
I had a wonderful time with my family - YES! Now I'm looking forward to starting 2018 which is going to be huge (I can feel it!).
Happy New Year my friend
Im a human, I dont believe robots like to surf;) I would keep my name as I have used it since I was a kid playing xbox live. My friend tried to copy it once and backfired. Congrats. My answer is that I would not change my nickname on Steemit, I even begin using it as username for other stuff:).
Great! That also happened to me :-)
Imagine: Even my dad started to call me @surfermarly in real life, haha
Congrats on the 4000 followers and happy holidays! I am a human from Hawaii (not a surfer, but I love to bodyboard!) and I would not change my steemit nickname :) Haha, @beauknows says it all!

I just see really cool nicknames here and I just really used my name (boring).
Ah OK now I get it :-)
I am so happy that you've reached this milestone and I am super happy to be one of the humans.

Et plus je traîne sur cette plate-forme et dans l'espace crypto en général, plus je suis heureux avec mon nom d'utilisateur.
Je suis content d'entendre ça :-)
Est-ce le nom d'un joueur de football?
Personally I never thought about another name other than Cryptosteve

To answer your question - I like my steemit name and would not change it. My husband calls me country girl sometimes. It fits me and who I am.
That's cute! Then you would really have no need to change yours :-)
Thanks for your congratulations and Happy New Year!!

Holaa, soy tu fiel seguidor :D
Congrats @surfermarly for this awesome milestone!! Keep being amazing, love reading your posts! :D
Thanks for your lovely congratulations, @polebird!
At least 6 days out of 7 per week, I am human, or at least I would like to think so.
Super happy with my username. Noboxes, no borders, no man made constraints or systems will take away my freedom.
we are enjoying our time with you ... thnx and god bless you .. just continue like this
