Despite appearances to the contrary Dave and I, have been and still are good friends.
This world record was attempted at the address above I can confirm there were no breaks during the one hour session and that indeed the Dumbbell used were indeed 20Kg. No trick video or processing was used other than that absolutely necessary to upload to Youtube / Dtube. The raw 16Gb+ of data compressed to a mere 783kb But the raw files are in archive and can be obtained for costs on a USB Key fob or other suitable medium of choice and postage.
The video presented consist of 5 x 3.9Gb files recorded on a GoPro camera. The camera worked fine but you will notice it cut off abruptly at the end this was due I believe to the memory card used being full and not the battery power as originally suspected.
The world record attempt was to have been recorded with a GoPro and GoPro type cameras (two cameras in all) whilst the GoPro functioned the backup camera ceased to function after 2 mins 55 sec (this the second time this has occurred) suspected reason is configuration.
Two applications were used on a Linux system to prepare the file for upload.
I tried to use Handbrake but the input video image was to large and failed to produce a consistent quality output. Winff was therefore used as an alternative to convert and compress the huge 16+Gb files to something Youtube /Dtube could handle, surprisingly this did a better job than Handbrake application. Then MKVToolNix was used to append or concatenate all the three files into a single stream or file.

Inevitably with something new you have problems the same can be said about D Tube following @heimindanger advice and the problems running some uploaded video onto my dtube account it was recommended I install "webtorrent for the desktop" available from https://webtorrent.io for your system. This for me at least, enabled the running to completion the video I had had trouble with in the first place, you can read more from heimindanger here on the subject here https://steemit.com/dtube/@heimindanger/d-tube-0-4-serious-ui-lifting-and-ipfs-backup-and-new-domain-and-more this will give you some insight into IPFS and webtorrent and how it all works or at least what is been done about some of the problems encountered so far.
