A thought that human species, a group of fragile animals with young, recently evolved primate brains, in just a few thousand years somehow created all the prerequisites for contemporary civilization - its complex culture and social norms, its sophisticated institutions, its science and technology - is beyond inspiring. A realization that we now have the ability to bypass limitations of biological evolution, the very force we owe our existence to, leads us to conclude that we are a beautifully progressive species, truly worthy of awe. Our dreams of eternal life, everlasting happiness, creating intelligence, permanent health, understanding consciousness, reaching stars, seem more realistic and achievable than ever. With every passing year, our progress is faster. Humanity will reach truly exponential growth in few decades at most. And it will be just the beginning.
