Yeah, I agree. Nothing about the Trump administration shocks me anymore. I think using language like that is part a conscious choice from journalists and people in the media's attempt at keeping all this from getting too normalized, but sadly, I also think it's just to get those views either for a catchy headline or to make things seem ultra dramatic so you keep watching during live broadcasts, which cable tv lives on.

@thespacebetween I am almost certain it is the latter. I wish it was the former.
I think a few people have good intentions, but even good intentioned people can go astray with trying to make a buck or get more views in troubling times. I'm sure it must be difficult wanting to present the news and give ones opinions while knowing that if you don't "spice it up" with short dresses or scary words people will stop watching and you won't have your platform anymore.
Maybe I'm just hoping for the best though. I just would rather not become too cynical.
