Agree, but DTube can be shaped by anyone as its decentralised. Obviously, the more (Steem) power, the more influence and the ones with the most power at the moment are those who are creating this type of content (old fart content). If DTube can delegate SP to YouTube influencers that can attract this crowd then by all means, do it. Yet, it comes down to trust too!
I want this platform to succeed, but as @intrepidsurfer mentioned there are too many regulations and for good reason. However, the sign up process could and should be instantaneous instead of weeks. Its just finding that balance.

As of now, I don't trust most YouTubers. I wouldn't rely on any of them to come here and change things and why would they? They are already established on YouTube and there may be a conflict of interest. I think we can create our own homegrown content creators that have DTube as a number 1 priority as opposed to an established YouTuber trying to exploit the system and not engage like Furious Pete and the Hodgetwins.
Right now, I think the DTube interface can be massively improved. It is so boring and stale looking. Teens need something with pizzazz.
Yea I did remember a few YouTubers tried their luck at DTube, but this is a new playground and although anyone can come and "play"; they need to adapt to the new environment. We want trendy teens on here, but ones with some common sense too.
