Exploring the early 1900s haunted abandoned hospital Glenn Dale was an electrifying experience. We were cornered by drug dealers and almost got caught by the cops. We searched this haunted 1900s abandoned hospital and even found its scary morgue. The morgue was found very late at night but was definitely one of the creepiest places in the building. It was scary, exciting, and weird all at the same time. The early 1900s haunted abandoned hospital, Glenn Dale has much historic value, especially regarding the part it played in countering the sizable tuberculosis outbreak of the early 1900s.

Looming broodingly in the fading light, Glenn Dale hospital remains completely abandoned. When the impact of tb started to spread during the early 30s, many tuberculosis sanitariums were constructed. Glenn Dale hospital was opened in 1934 to counter a rapidly growing national tuberculosis crisis. Glenn Dale prioritized outreach towards adolescent patients by building a children's sanatorium. Among the interesting things this important structure was fitted with, was a small children's theater, and a roof-top play ground that encouraged heliotherapy. Not much was known about tuberculosis at the time.
