Trauma in general is hard to come forward about, and there is psychological strength in numbers and a certain momentum that comes with it, otherwise group therapy or support groups wouldn't exist in the first place.
It is far more fun to think about the all powerful deep-state with endless coffers to try to smear everyone they disagree with though, isn't it? Kind of like how it's more fun to believe that thunder is god bowling.
