Here are a few flying tips I have learned along the way. I am, by no means, the best pilot. I do have a few things to offer the beginner. Here is a bonus tip: Target fixation. If you want to avoid crashing into something, don't look at it. You tend to fly exactly where you look.
Most of this video was flown in a parking lot. I practice in a dingy, dirty, parking lot. No surprises and few things to hit.
Download DRL's free Drone simulator here: https://thedroneracingleague.com/

Update: DRL is no longer free. There are many paid sims out there. DRL was the best for free.
Nice tips! thx!
Can you post the Youtube link as well? Unfortunately I couldn't watch it, and dtube is a bug monster, which is why I stopped using it. If I do use it, I make sure I simultaneously post to Youtube as well.

I put this video together in a hurry to try out Dtube. It was after posting that I realized you cannot delete. The biggest take aways from that video for day one beginner: Fly the simulator until you are comfortable and learn to fly in air mode right away. Horizon mode makes things easier but builds bad habits.
I followed you back. Thanks.
