Firstly, i want to apologize for not posting this earlier as scheduled, circumstances made this so. But nonetheless, here i am with this awesome update from the newly established NGO; ACOF.
Before we go into details of the Cancer Awareness outreach, Let's talk about ACOF.
WHAT IS ACOF AND WHAT ARE ITS FUNCTIONS?
ACOF, is basically the acronym for AIR-CLINIC OUTREACH FOUNDATION.It's a special arm of the @air-clinic medical organisation built on the steem blockchain. Thus, the ACOF is a
Medical Outreach Foundation and NGO built on the steem blockchain...
Like every other organisation, the ACOF has its VISION, MISSION and GOALS, thus;As a brain-child of @air-clinc, it was established for the sole aim of reaching out to people, offline especially, creating an awareness of the steem blockchain clinic informing them of the free services of this clinic and also sharing vital information on health and health issues.
IT'S VISION, MISSION and GOALS:
this, here are the vision, aims and goals;Remember i mentioned earlier that it's a brain-child of the @air-clinic organisation, thus, with reference to
OUR VISION
We aim to build a world that is humane by taking free healthcare offline especially to those who need it most!
OUR MISSION
To use the power of the steem blockchain to empower lives by giving free healthcare education, screening and treatment to the needy.
To serve people of all races, ethnicities, creeds, gender and orientation regardless of their ability to pay.
OUR GOALS
Do Offline Outreach Campaigns at least once per month.
Do Online preparations and awareness before the offline
Mobilize well-meaning steemians to support the cause via freewill donations of steem/sbd
Involve volunteers who will want to go whereever medical help is needed most
Teach & train the volunteers on what to; how to and why to of healthcare outreaches.
Involve offline collaborators including pharmaceuticals, laboratories, hospitals, NGOs, and other similar bodies.
Having stated all these, the ACOF launched its first outreach on the 2nd of Febuary in a community school in Uyo, Akwa Ibom , Nigeria, in anticipation of the celebration of the World Cancer day. The students we educated on cancer, its causes, effects , symptoms and possible cure. They had lots to chew and drink (thanks to steemit), gifts items were shared to participants, as it was an interactive session with the ACOF members.
ACOF had a street view interview as well, where people shared there views on cancer and gave words of encouragement to cancer fighter.
With this action, however, the intended message is, ACOF is set out to reach people offline to show love and care and with steem, we are up for success.
Stay tuned for more outreach reports, as this would be having a monthly healthcare outreach.
