I don't know if it will be Dtube that takes over YouTube, but I do think it will be something like it. I think it is just going to depend on which platform, be it Dtube, BitChute, Lbry, or Viewly gets the first big YouTube defector. It will also depend on how well that platform handles the influx of viewers and smaller creators that they bring to the platform. If say Ijustine comes over to Dtube and brings her 4.5M subscribers with her and crashes Dtube then I think it will be a long time before another large creator tries any of the decentralized/content incentivized platforms.

Youtube having been around for over a decade as well as being tied into Googles data and analytics has a big advanage in terms of knowing us and what we want. While I love DTube lets be honest it's not as good as Youtube currently but granted it's much younger. I can go down a wormhole of watching 5 hours of Youtube videos like nothing because Youtube delivers exactly what I wanna watch, DTube isn't to that point quite yet
