@closedai yes, but limited by humans. The technology is very important for difficult activities or due to dangers and traffic.

@closedai it's my belief that a higher intelligence would favor harmony over control/domination. There's a lot of variables to this question though... if you think about a pet in a cage - why is it in the cage? Well, one might be so that it doesn't rip apart the furniture in your house, another might be so that it doesn't hurt itself. Will robots try to protect us in this manner? Time will tell... what do you think?

On the other hand: We are a higher intelligence to other species and favor control/domination over harmony. But you are right, robots might try to protect us and make us happy by maybe puting us in a cage and give us our dopamin dosis which makes us on a biological level happy. It all depends on the future of AI development.

Great point @closedai. When I wrote that about higher intelligence I hesitated a bit only because control and freedom are choices that tend to naturally come and go. Maybe at one point an intelligence will favor control and as circumstances change they may then favor harmony.

But if we do get the cages (lol) they will probably be in the form of VR headsets.
