I'm working towards doing the same now that the Steem ecosystem is evolving with new front ends. Originally I was just using SteemIt for posting lengthy articles, and I was having to upload videos to YouTube and then posting the embed link on SteemIt. Now I can bypass YouTube and post straight to DTube. What I am experimenting now is what user interface is best for me to post short posts. I find that when I only have a sentence or two thought that I tend to post on Twitter or Facebook, but I am begining to experiment with the Zappl front end to replace them.
I see, do you have a large following? I had around 3k subs on YouTube, but my channel was stagnant and I felt my audience represented who I was years ago. They didn't like my changes, therefore I got alot of hate and dislikes etc. I'll take a look at zappl!
I have a larger following on Steem than on YouTube actually. I only started posting on YouTube once I joined Steem. It's nice to just be able to skip that step and post straight to d.tube now. Sometimes if your following can't support your changes you have to build a new following and that's perfectly okay. Zappl still needs a lot of work in my opinion, but I'm not sure if there is another front end focusing on posts under 240 characters.
