As you say we are just starting out and seeing whats working. Take a look at this chart!, it is your very own voting record for the past month, and tells me you've self-voted 18% of your votes (and if you play with the days, you've done it a bit more recently). Interesting.

I delegate to qurator, great program, supports many, they give me a daily autovote. I've invested in @steembasicincome, more autovotes for me and my nominees. Last time I bought in I bought SBD, and I have been recyclying it for weeks with bidbots on my own posts! This is how I bought in this time, not just steem power but some visibility and experimentation with bots. I also have a few other accounts. They aren't currently upvoting myself, but I have done in the past.
So what's the difference? I am in some engagement leagues that will penalize me for doing what you do, but not what I do. Silly ain't it?
But we must be balanced, as with all things in life. We must encourage others, engage, communicate, love, dialogue, participate and grow together! How you use your stake is your business, but it tells me a lot about you.
Look again at your chart: You have upvoted HUNDREDS of unique authors in the same period. Thats fantastic. Not many can say that, not even me, though I am not too far behind you ;p
Keep it up, I say! One thing to consider could be voting some of your posts after a time, sure you get less curation rewards but those rewards reward your voters. Just a thought!

To be honest until last week, I haven’t personally know anybody within Steemit.
I just wish more people will honest about thier actions. But it’s not going to change my attitude towards life.
I do good and good come to me!! For me it’s not about how much money I make and it’s about I make my money is important.

Especially when you get started here...its really a network and when you get started you are pretty much invisible, except to the bots of course, the only ones that have time to crawl the 'new posts' tab.
But moving forward it should get better and better, the community aspect is so important, and with the d.apps improving and the community expanding, we are the early adapters, later we are the people that the next generation will look up to.
I think I have the Brave Browser set up with dlive, it shouldn't be long until I start getting some test videos out! What do you do for thumbnail, do you take a picture first?
