it is not as if you are not upvoting others. In fact, I find that you are currently one of the people on this platform that this community is benefiting the most from. And I am not even taking the value of your content into account. I am talking purely in statistical sense of good curating.
I think its only fair that people upvote their own posts. It shows that you consider your own posts worthwhile. I mean if a person is not confident in his own work then what is the point, right?
There are a lot of good people who do not self upvote. I find that they don't do it because they want to make a statement against those who are actually abusing their voting power (which is not the case here and its crystal clear).

I’m still new to Steemit and my way of learning is trial and error.
Everyone has thier own way of analysing the self upvoting. However I can easily create multiple accounts and protend that I don’t self upvote and I rather openly do it and willing share why I’m doing it.
