I am actually recording directly on my mobile phone and the next question is, how do I sync up with the camera, which is also picking up my audio?

You can just hook up the phone to the comp through USB cord to upload video.

I studied drama and film and we were taught the old skool method that needs you to be skilled with lip syncing and time syncopation. This method that you've presented has 21st century swag. I love the simplicity and mobility. Editors can be expensive..
