What is your price prediction of STEEM for this Christmas? And please say reasons behind your prediction in few words.

I don't think that it will go above $5 by Christmas. I think cryptos will trive in an unstable environment; at the moment fiat currencies are all being sucessfully managed.
If Brexit destabilizes the pound and that has a knock on affect to other currencies then this could be a point at which the cryptos will see movement. However, I am not sure that this will be a big enough crisis. Perhaps if the petrodollar breaks we will see change????
Like it or not, all the altcoins depends on bitcoin.
You may have to know Bitcoin ETF Approval Delayed Until September 21st, and due to this bitcoin maybe go down in a couple of weeks, but then it's ETF is approved by September, investors will try to catch the opportunity, And then we will have the big investment and then the price will start rising and by Christmas, My prediction is 10 $, but if bitcoin cross 20k $ then we are going to hit 15 $, that's what I think.

To my understanding by the end of this year, steem price would climb over 10 dollar mark. I am not exactly confident about what the upper limit would be but it would cross the minimum ten dollar mark.
There are a number of reasons for this and the most obvious one is that I think that the whole market is going to go in a generally favorable direction from August. The bulls look poised to take control of the market and obviously Steem will benefit from that.
But what would really push the price past 10 dollar mark would be the SMT's. I think that they have been delayed a lot and its almost time to hear some major announcements about them. We will start seeing the rising prices, soon after we get the definitive updates on SMT's and I think that could happen before the end of 2018.

The price prediction of Steem by this Christmas will be around $6.
The reason behind my prediction is that the crypto is starting to rise again and good days are coming.
Moreover the pace at which people are joining steemit is great.
They are investing their money to power up.
More people will hold steem the more price will go up.
Now no body is interested to sell his or her steem.

We all waiting to launch mart media tokens. Also we all know after launch SMT steem price will go higher. I guess now SMT will launch next November in SF3. So I predict steem price will be $15 in Christmas season. I see some other steemians told my reason already. It's common reason everyone know. I completely listen your sound now. It's really possible. We have to think only about imporoving in steem blockchain, it's not the time of thinking to earn money, but only to grow. My goal is to became a dolphin, that's will be my goal for the next year. Even when the price of steem was about 0.89 the last year, I was posting like crazy, so if it will go $20, I will contribute even much more.

I really hope you are right, @nathanmars. I can't say i understand the crypto market, but i assume, like all markets, speculation and politics play a part. So i am rooting for a higher price, but i see a lot of instability and stagnation.
Well, I never consider Steem as an investment. I invested a small % just to increase my SP so that I can contribute to the good content and now I am just looking to invest more because I love to write and it is a long term investment. Steem can reach that value :-
Future is bright if we can bring many people on Steem. I never invested in Steem before joining it. I truly appreciate your initiative to bring people in here. More People means More Value.

maybe $5 with SMT. $10 don’t think will happen any time soon.
i think steem will hit around 10 to 15$ because its all time high is nearly 8$ when btc is under 20,000 $ so this is time for alt when btc will hit above 25000$ if coinmarketcap will increase it may be happened for sure steem is not shit coin it has working product it self we all are waiting for Etf approval then market will boom

From my point of view, judging from the rate at which new users join the community(2 of my friends' account got verified yesterday), the price is bound to increase at a sharp rate towards the end of the year,
My $20 dollar prediction is also out of optimism tho, but from a law I know of, the more the demand, the higher the value of the commodity.
Now; new users = new investors = more demand for steem and then all this naturally leading to an increase in the steem price with time.
Thus a $20 price is feasible during Christmas 🎄
