To be honest I think it is a really good idea to delegate some. It is obvious that you are are a large stakeholder and probably your stake will increase daily simce you believe in steem and you keep buying (which is great) But that’s what delegation is all about....large stakeholders to be able to loan some of their power to people who they believe that they deserve a better future. Either because they have no attention and really small payouts, or because they keep engaging with the community and support others by curating.
So if you ask me...I think it is a very good choice (if you decide it) and can change someone’s position and faith on the platform (since not everyone can afford to buy, even with such low prices) plus....you can take it back...anytime you want.
Edited: If I had a delegation I would immediately start a curation program (although I still curate as much as I can) for a bunch of people who are producing and are under the radar but also for the Greek community. We are unfortunately around 200 people and an account that could push them a little forward would be a blessing.
Only the fact that you’ll consider me is an honor and I would be more than grateful. Of course it is your stake and I am sure whatever your decision is, it would be for the best.
Well, it really depends on how active you are with curation. If you are active, keep it, if not, lend it out so it moves around (you actually gain a % back for lending out). I lent 50sp to dtube a week and a half or so ago and I can now take back 50.120sp, not much but higher amounts add up. Also, you can retract the delegated SP at any time, no skin off your back. There are many benefits to delegating your sp. However if you are active (you are) then you should keep it for a stronger vote. I just put another $200 into crypto (I talk about it in tomorrow's episode). I will not sell my SP for less then $100.
I have received two delegations until now (500+50SP). I guess both guys liked my work and delegated. Obviously, I feel lucky that they would trust me to use their assets wisely.
I came to Steemit to make money but eventually realized something different. I now understand that money might be important, but it is secondary to people. It’s better to earn trust and keep it than try to grab money. I am not saying that money is not important because it is, and I can tell because I am the guy who a month ago didn’t even have a roof over his head. What I am trying to say is that money may be important, but people are even more important.
Some are asking for delegation without earning your trust and that just feels rude (not to mention stupid). If you would have said that okay, I am delegating SP so come and introduce yourselves. Then I would have understood them asking you for SP delegation. Hell, I might have been in that line introducing myself. But I don’t understand this random nature of asking for things.
On the other hand, I do admire their courage to go out and ask. But I can’t imagine myself delegating SP to someone who just telegrammed me asked for it…. it seems unreasonable. If they stayed with you for months on end and then asked, then it would have been different but not like this.
If you are considering delegating, please consider @helpie. This will allow your steem power to help a lot of people instead of just one. @helpie is focused on encouraging and supporting Steem users who produce quality content and work hard rather than taking the easy way out spamming and plagiarising.
@meno runs @helpie and I've been trying to help support it as just spend a few minutes listening to @meno and you will see why.
I would love to delegate my SP if I was at your position, as it can help minnows like me, I can upvote quality stuff by that SP and I will get noticed on this platform
Hello @nathanmars , It's really a nice idea that you are willing to delegate your Sp. i appreciate your idea. Because I have seen lots of whales not making use of their Sp and not delegating it at the same time. But then you are requesting for what reason should it be delegated to me or anyone in need of it.
Well, A lot has really changed here on steemit and it's all looking like this platform is not fun anymore because of low in steem & sbd price which had made some whales not being able to curate great posts contributed by minnows. i have seen lots of newbies with great talent and at the end of 7days they earn just less than $0.5 (including steem power & steem) which doesn’t encourage in anyway.
I would love to get a delegation from you so that I can help this minnows get at least 1dollar on a post. With that being done, they will be happy to make more quality content in feature.
While curating, i won't touch any abusive content or circle voting.
I think It's awesome that you want to help someone else out on here and that you're in a good position to do so. I currently delegate 150 SP to Dtube because I personally have used Dtube every day for the past 10months so I have great faith in it going somewhere big.
You should delegate to someone who doesn't ask, someone who's content you genuinely enjoy. Or delegate to Dtube, you will earn a great deal back with the stake that you currently hold :D
Killer DApps like Dtube will definitely a good recommendation and I’m also trying to find individuals who are extremely passionate about their work and Steem DApps:)
Personally, i think delegation of SP is a good way to reach out to more people, and earn to, i saw somewhere in smartsteem that you earn rewards for delegating steem, asides that it can go a long way to empower some folks around, when its used for good curation activities.
delegation of SP is a good way to give back to the community, and to help minnows grow, i would love to get some delegations from you sir, it would motivate me to curate more posts and to help more people who you might not be able to reach, and enable great community growths.
Firstly, your money is your, your energy is fully yours. But sometimes we need to boost up someone by giving money or effort
Secondly here still some community, they always try to reach more user and try to more encourage by giving support. For that they need more SP and they collect it from others by delegation.
Thirdly If I become in your position, of course, I delegate some SP for their great support and reach more people.
and finally all things up to you, your money your choice, you know better about yourself. But it is easier by together to do anything, to reach our target. Thanks. @hafizullah
I do my best to upvote as much as possible dtubers with @dcooperation , and we have already more than 2000 steem power delegated to us, but our upvote is still low, only 0.13 in 100%, I always use the opportunity when somebody want to delegate some power. All the upvotes are made manually, I try to upvote those who are not upvoted by dtube to support them to create more. Also I try to upvote sometimes those who delegated some power to us even if dtube upvoted them. I will be very glad if you delegate some power to our community to help us upvote more dtubers. All the earning earned from @dcooperation by curation and creation is going to power up our account, I already delegated 1100 steem power to the account as well.
You can also delegate to oter communities like @onelovedtube , @steempowerment and @dtubedaily or to @dtube him self.
Hello @nathanmars,
I think its a good decision to delegate the power to support the people with common interest. SO that they can flourish a bit in platform have voting value and can curate the good content.
Thanks
I certainly agree with supporting people with common interests. It has been a steep learning curve of my three months with steemit. And I definitely want to delegate SP.
hmmm I'm thinking... Soon I will take actions to test how I can delegate and who I should delegate and how long I should etc.
When any steemian get upovote from big whale on their post they motivate and they put more effort in it But its some time missed because of lot of post . You are right its 100% your's but then you have just 2 eyes to watch effort of different people So, in my point of view if you delegate your SP to some one then you have 4 eyes and like this how much contributor thought mind you include in steemit community by your SP then its really helpful for other Because each mind have different way or building steemit community .
Big whales are Dtube, Dlive, Busy, Steepshot, Musing and other DApps. If anyone willing to put in the work like you do then they'll get the upvotes and they'll be motivated to create more contents with those DApps.
I can see your consistency with Dlive and Dtube. And I myself alone created 79 vlogs with Dtube in 21 days.
Anyway I'm still new with Steem and I'm learning a lot every single day and I'll be starting my delegation very soon and I'll consider you :)
@nathanmars, Recently I've crossed the 500 SP and I've never invested in the Steem, just Powered Up my 50 to 60% of my rewards and i will continue to do that, and in my opinion at this point of time i have to grow my account to more extent to think about the effective Delegations.
And for sure Delegations are really effective aspects in the Steem Economy and we can do that with many subjects, means, to earn interest, to earn passive income, to support particular individual or community and to support projects.
And in my opinion, when we stay inactive in an economy then, Steem Power should be delegated because in that way that Steem Power can be used for the good things and inturn people can get passive income or interests.
And we can watch, some Steemians help others by delegating because they saw value in their work and to give some growth they delegate them so that they can use that SP effectively.
Good morning @nathanmars

Have a great day my friend!
I love the fact that I can stop delegation anytime I want.
Also I’m more of experimentor than a researcher. So definitely I’ll be testing this SP delegation sometime sooner than later.
I’ll certainly consider you @mindtrap.
Happy Steeming :)

Do it pal, you've got nothing to lose :) You can always take back the delegation if you are not happy.

I've noted all of your good reasons for SP delegation @iamchijamz :)
I'll certainly consider you when I start my delegation experiment !!
Happy Steeming !!
wow, thanks a lot, i was even planning on growing my SP from now onwards, still on it though.. .xD
Firstly, your money is your, your energy is fully yours. But sometimes we need to boost up someone by giving money or effort

@hafizullah
Because you are one man!
You couldn't possibly roam the whole of steemit on your own and if you did, you wouldn't be able to assimilate it all.
But if you delegated some of your "steem power" it'ld be like having tentacles of an octopus.
Those trusted people would be able to make a positive change for you on Steemit.!

I love the fact that you’re manually upvoting :)
Also upvoting Dtube contents that weren’t upvoted by @dtube.
I’ll certainly consider all of your recommendations when I start my delegations.
Happy Steeming @clixmoney :)
Very fair :) i would do the grind happily if only i knew how :/
Cheers
Good luck !!
Thx, u2 :)

Have bigh steem power we can be the best give curation to creative contens
I certainly agree @fathuramien31 :)
