Man I cannot believe that this was posted so long ago and I'm just seeing it now. I had a slow go at career life and really busted hump and did not miss much if any work and after about 5 years I'm lucky that I've earned enough trust to work from home. I had plenty of things that I would have rather have been doing but I put my focus to the company and it somewhat has paid off for me so far. It is such a gamble how much you devout to a job because you really have no clue where it is going to end up just like anything else. I stuck with it when many around me gave up and were let go. The only advise that I could offer even if you did not ask is, be patient and do your best at everything that you do even if it is those things that you don't want to do. For complete transparency I really am a rebel at heart but have done what I have needed to do under the circumstances. If any opportunity came to me to be creating full time that is what I would be doing. But at the moment I enjoy my seniority and respect that I have worked hard for in a place that I would rather not be. P.S. I used to have to give perform ace reviews and was told by my manager to always point out some positive but also some negative. Felt like a really crappy thing to do. The first go around they made me redo all of my reviews stating that I was too generous. I kept that in mind when I got my review. Take care.
