#Snapp2; The dilemma of getting an expensive college degree or being financially free

in #dtubesnap6 years ago

This vlog relates to people who became wealthy through cryptocurrency and however they do not a have a college degree prior to the time they stumbled on a fairly large fortune investing in cryptocurrency or earning it just like someplace are millionaire alone being on the steem platform.
The situations may not relate to everyone expecially those who have not been fazed with expensive educational cost.
In places where people are fazed with high cost of acquiring education, people abandon education to chase money and sometimes they stumble on crypto wealth and now they're now troubled as to weather to go back for a college degree and risk all their money in this current market rate as a result they start contemplating if the college degree they want to spend a fortune on will actually guarantee them the kind of successes they now have, a true dilemma which may make or mar

Firstly it depends on the dream, practically courses like law and medicine requires education while some other vocations don't.
If one has the dream to be (for example) a doctor then you have to forgo everything and go for it, but if your dream is one which depend entirely on education then hold am to your cash.

Ermm, are you Nigerian or just a resident? I can't place your accent.

Brilliant comment, studying course like journalism is expensive but in this society being educated seems to be the best propority even if it offers even less.
Yes I'm definitely Nigerian

College doesn't guarantee success as you said. Sometimes it can only bring you down and push you away from the path on which you should be.

That's why I quit two colleges and decided not to pursue any further formal education. It's wasting my time and money.

Most of the things they teach us there we can earn ourselves.

Internet is a wealth of information. In fact, it contains most of the knowledge known to man, and beyond. The best thing about it is that its free.

What I'm trying to say is that no, you don't need to spend money on college. Find something that interests you the most and teach yourself how to do it. Through trial and error you will become better. One day, with the right persistance and motivation, you will be better than you would if you went to college for the exact same thing.

Formal education is a waste of time. Government sponsored indoctrination camps.

Their only purpose isto waste our time and mold our brains into the little boxes they want them to be. We should be smarter than that!

@josediccus, I can understand how that State Of Situation is and hope and wish that you will going to reach to an decision which will set you free from all issues and i will pray to Almighty Father about your Financial Freedom. But here i want to say only one thing and that is, never stop believing yourself because every individual is creator in self so keep up.

Wishing you an great day and stay blessed. 🙂

Thank you

Welcome. 🙂

Welcome to dtube. It's great to have you here.
I really don't think crypto wealth is enough to stop anyone from having a degree or more education if he or she so desires.
Education is always a plus to wealth, no matter where you are on the surface of the earth. Thanks for sharing.
Please, try to keep your eyes on the lens.

Well you're right as well, however how about when you can only choose? And the cryto wealth you amassed is at stake? I mean costly education?
And thank you for the advice, I'll improve

That's a different case, only future goals can determine that.

Money isn't everything. If there's an educational opportunity that will get me a bit closer to my dream, I'll gladly drop all my funds and even borrow if need be for it.

But if it's just for status sake, perhaps wealth may even give better status than education.

Exactly my point, from your perspective it may be different, I'll like to ask which country you're from?
Because mostly in Africa the reverse of your point is always the case

Lagos, Nigeria just like you.

Money can buy everything, once a person gets rich,he/she can get any damn expensive degree he wants, simply donate money to the university of your choice and he/she can get honorary degree from it.

You're definitely right, however in situations like in my country you'll have to be a person of interest to get a college degree really in honorary mode and when you're still still trying to garner a fortune you may lose it all
