Steem inc is only a developer at the end of the day. They don't own the blockchain and have no control over what we do as a community. There are enough brilliant people on here working to improve the chain that i am still optimistic that when we come out of this shit market it will be in a better place than before. If i'm right the people who believe enough to commit right now will do very well going forward when we reach the next step of our evolution This is all in development right now, so mistakes will be made and changes will happen. The main thing is that we survive and grow after these which is hopefully going to happen now.
That is a very optimistic thought, no doubt. But there is a huge doubt about doing something without the help of steemit Inc. E.g. who is gonna start SMT from the scratch? We all know that most of the dApps on this BC will be crippled without the SMT
