It sure would be nice to be able to upvote comments on my posts. I KNOW my vote is currently wasted on those. I give 1% upvotes on comments (sometimes) just to let the person feel a tiny bit of love.
For a while before I upvoted I would add up the thousandths columns on others posts to decide whether or not my .004 vote would register, so I kind of did what you do. Then I decided a 100% vote at least gave a warm and fuzzy feeling so now I do it anyway.
