Go take a commercial jet flight. You will travel at 550 mph, and yet, and yet...by some miracle, you can hold up a drink and drink it!
you are in a contained unit. you are travelling in a straight line.
what happens when you turn a corner? you get pulled to that corner. we are in a state of perpetual turning on a globe earth model. you would feel it all the time. just like a merry-go-round... does it every stop feeling like motion on there because you came to a stable speed? no...
Go sit on a merry-go-round and have someone spin it so it spins one time in 24 hours and tell me if you can feel it.
When you are standing on the surface of the earth, that amount of force is not pulling you to the left or right, it is making you weigh slightly less. It is pulling you away from the surface of the earth, slightly counteracting the force of gravity. Your difference in weight from the equator(with maximum centrifugal force) to the north pole (with minimum centrifugal force) is about 2 pounds for the average man. And if you ALWAYS feel 2 pounds lighter when you are standing on the equator, how would you notice?
get me a merry-go-round the size of the earth.
yes, i'm sure i'd be able to feel it.
You are sitting on a merry-go-round the size of the earth, how lucky is that? Can you feel it?
haha. you are funny.
