Step 1:
one four ounce steak for every person
- clean your steak, pat it dry on both sides, lightly oil and sprinkle dry steak seasoning on both side of your steak
- let uncooked steak rest at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking
- turn the heat on high and use a heavy skillet to cook your steak, try to avoid using Teflon nonstick cookware for this task
- wait for the skillet to get very not, not smoking hot. My hot skillet test is to place hand 6 inches above the hot skillet to to
sense the heat and count to 6, if it's uncomfortable heat, the skillet is ready to go - drop your steak, 4 minutes on 1st side and 3 minutes on 2nd side for each steak, don't crowd your skillet
