Achievement Unlocked! 250 eBay Auctions In one Month.

in #ebay7 days ago

I finally hit a reselling milestone today. 250 eBay auctions in a month. From what I've researched. Once you hit the 250 monthly free auction limit, it get's pretty easy to hit it each month.

Reached my 250 Free Auction Limit.

I have to admit, it took a little longer than I thought it would. First I had to source the items. Then list them. It's like building a pipeline of products. Now you just have to keep filling it.

For the most part, reselling has been treating me well. The next thing I've been trying to do is raise my average cost per item. As I reinvest into my business, I continue to try and find higher end items, with a good sell-through rate, with larger profit margins.

Frankly, I'm learning as I go. I do a lot of experimenting. I'm still trying to find my niche. Right now, it's mostly clothes, shoes, collectible toys, and some antiques.

It's currently just paying the bills. Which I'm good with because that was the original plan. Now I can keep my trading money for trading, and use my resell money for day to day expenses and bills.

If I can maintain the 250 max auctions from now until the end of the year, I'm going to start 2025 with an eBay store. I have to research it more, but that gives me an increase in monthly items I can list at a set price per month.

Once the eBay store is established, I'd like to branch out onto another platform like maybe Amazon for books and Poshmark for clothes.

2025 will be all about planning for growth.

One of the first things I need to do in 2025 is come up with a new system for maintaining inventory. Right now, I just have things sorted. I need a numbered lot or sku# for each item and better system of storing. It hasn't been a problem yet, but it's easy to see how this could get out of control.

Sorted inventory with no real system.

Believe it or not, there's a method to the madness. It usually takes me about 20 to 30 minutes to pull say 5 orders. With a better inventory system, I could get that down to about 5 to 10 minutes. The problem is, whatever system I use, also has to be space efficient. I'm basically running a business out of a 10x10 foot room. It's like working out of a walk-in closet. Regardless, it's working and I can only grow from here.

So, that's where I'm at with the resell biz. It's going good. If I step up my game a little, I think I could actually make this do more than just pay the bills.

I'll keep you all updated on my progress. Thanks for reading.

Good luck with that. I know @killerwot is doing a lot of ebay too, so maybe you can swap ideas. I'm sure there are various tricks to success.

I guess you have to source lots of packaging for all those items.

The whole back of the garage is full of boxes. I purchased some packaging too. A box for every need. 😂

Ah, you're still doing the Ebay selling thing. Good to hear that it is going so well for you.

I have been procrastinating selling a few things. I always hate doing the listing but more so the shipping - blaah, really hate it.

Listing can be a real drag. I don't mind shipping as long as I have shipping materials on hand. I have a hell of a time sitting behind the computer and doing 10 to 20 listings a day.

Hey @the-bitcoin-dood, here is a little bit of BEER from @steevc for you. Enjoy it!
