Got an email this morning letting me know the respoking was finished and I could come pick up the wheel any time. "Hot damn" I said to nobody, and set off to the little business complex with the bike shop in it.
However, I became distracted by a ramen shop.
I would've gotten a photo of the ramen before I started eating it, but I was ravenous.
Om nom nom...
Nomming complete. Cry about bill, then resume bicycle mission.
I was assured these spokes are much higher grade and stronger than the ones I had. They certainly look it. I was also advised to pick up a tensioner wrench to tighten the nipples myself as needed. Who doesn't need their nipples tightened now and then? I know I do.
I'm not too keen on the idea of extra maintenance. But it's something I was supposed to be doing already, I just didn't know about it. Hopefully I'll be able to take care of spoke stuff myself going forward. That was one of the big ideas behind this bike after all, being able to perform all or nearly all maintenance on it by myself.
Mothafucken STICKAZ!! :0 Yee. I deliberated over whether it would look cooler without any, but these were absolutely necessary additions. Besides the one on top which warns would-be thieves that it's GPS tracked, I had some VR stickers from VR thing I attended and nothing I wanted to stick them on until now.
Other side. The Oculus sticker doesn't show up too well, but w/e. STICKERS!! Ahaha. Ha. Anyways the ignition switch does nothing currently as the wheel was fixed before I got the safety relay thinger in the mail. When that comes I can built a passthru that will be controlled by the ignition on top.
This will make it slightly more difficult to steal. Quickly, anyway. I have the hole drilled for the M8 bolt which will attach the kickstand, but no bolt yet. Also no chain obviously, still a lot of work to be done. Watch this space for more.
Don't which one I'm more impressed with , the ebike or the Ramen soup. Both are awesome. Great day for you. Ramen soup and picking up ebike. Good life , my friend.
Indeed, life is pretty good sometimes.
authentic japanese ramen is really good, i usually on get it once in a while.
Me too, I can't imagine having it any more often. It's so filling I thought I'd black out into a food coma.
I don't think anyone blames you for getting side tracked at a ramen shop. It happens to the best of us. Although I have to say I prefer to have my nipples greased before being tightened, but maybe that's just me.
In all seriousness, I'm glad the wheel is fixed and back on, man! Like I said before, can't wait to see when this bike is done. It's gonna be sick!
Hell yes! Looks good with all those stickers on it, boss. I'm betting they give you an additional, what, 10 or 15 horsepower?
I measure it in duck power so it sounds like more. Maybe like +40 duckpower.
Damn, +40 duckpower?! That's an insane boost man!
You've got a two-wheel bike! And it can ride now! :d
God damn, i've never eaten ramen in my life, i want it.
But the most important thing of this post is - VR sticker!
Every bike, refrigerator, supercar, transformer or helicopter should have one!
Hey, looking nice. This one looks really good. Some could say you went overboard with the security. NO, NO, you never are secure enough when it comes to bikes.
No doubt. I love Portland but it's crawling with bike thieves.
Looks like a really cool bike!
I liked the stickers, they reflect the spirit of the bike ^^
Follow me to know about Brazil my Friend >> @renantg :)
The upgrade will certainly help to protect the bicycle from theft and make it more reliable.
Yeah, spokes should be taken care. Hope you do it well @alexbeyman. :D
@alexbeyman, I'm loving this new update , the bike looks super good now . Now you're back in action
"Wanna be a man in motion, all I need's a set of wheels"
Object in motion will remain in motion ! Keep up the good mechanics and writing
The bike turned out to be amazing and that Ramen soup look delicious :)
Wow, the bike was incredible, much better than I imagined. Looks very cool!
Congratulations!
Nice, I never thought about lojacking a bike!
So - is this your own design? What is it going to do? Run on batteries? Gasoline? How fast, how fast???
I did not design it, but I built it out of parts I ordered online bit by bit. It runs on a very big battery pack. It can go 50 miles on a charge, and 30mph.
Thank you.
Ebike looking great, you had a ride on this or not yet ?
If isepeda is for adventure master @alexbeyman bike it is very cool with black color ....?
@alexbeyman (Alex Beyman) thank you for sharing
Your project is almost finish man how many miles you can drive with this ebike?
50
With one load? it's good really good alex
It should be considering what I paid for it.
Dude that bike is sick. Where can I find one like it?
http://www.enduroebike.com/
You can either buy one of their prebuilts or do what I did, buy their frame and then build the rest yourself. I went that route so I could use a Lunacycle battery and other components I knew I wanted on there, which none of the prebuilts come with.
super powerful ebike , its great
thank you for sharing
